Can a taxi pick me up at Amritsar railway station?
Yes. Give us your train number and arrival time and the driver will be waiting outside the main exit with a name board. If the train runs late, the pickup adjusts — you do not need to call ahead again.
Amritsar Junction has more than one exit, so if you are unsure where you have come out, phone the driver and he will walk to you.
How far is the railway station from the Golden Temple?
About 2 km, so a 10 minute drive in normal traffic. Most guests go straight from the platform to their hotel, then walk or take a short ride to the temple.
If you want to go directly for darshan, tell the driver and he will drop you at the Heritage Street side, which is the closest point for the walk to the temple.
Do you do late-night station pickups?
Yes. Several trains reach Amritsar between midnight and 5 am, and those pickups are normal for us. Book on WhatsApp with the train number and someone will be there when you walk out.
For a late-night arrival, we also recommend booking the whole day's sightseeing in the same message, so the plan is set before you reach the city.
