This two-day package is for travellers who want the city and its gurdwaras properly, not in one rushed loop. Day one is the Amritsar darshan — the Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh, the Partition Museum, Durgiana Temple and Gobindgarh Fort, closing with the Wagah Border ceremony in the evening. Day two heads out of the city to Tarn Taran Sahib, whose gurdwara is one of the oldest in Punjab, then on to Goindwal Sahib on the Beas with its historic baoli, and Ram Tirath, the temple and tank complex on the road to Chogawan. Sadda Pind, the village-life resort, fits neatly on the way back for a Punjabi meal and crafts. It is a comfortable pace for families and for anyone travelling with elderly parents, and the whole two days is with one driver in one car.
