Most people travel to Katra overnight, so this package starts in the evening: we collect you from Amritsar, drive the 250 km to Katra in about five hours, and drop you at your hotel or the bus stand. Day two belongs to the yatra itself. The climb from Katra to the Bhawan takes most pilgrims four to six hours on foot, with Ardhkuwari on the way, and there are battery cars, ponies and the Sanjichhat ropeway for those who need them. After darshan and Bhairon temple, you come back down to Katra for the night. Day three is the drive home, with an optional stop at Jammu for Raghunath temple or Bahu Fort. March to October suits most pilgrims; Navratras are the busiest weeks and Katra hotels fill months ahead, so tell us your dates early. Hotels in Katra are arranged on request.
